Best Platforms to Find Skilled Trade Show Talent for Tech Events
Where to look, and how to judge fit before you book.
Tech exhibitors often search for a person who can both draw a crowd and explain a complex product. Those are usually two jobs. Decide which role you need before choosing a hiring platform.
Start with the role
For technical demos, look for someone with relevant product or industry experience. For registration, logistics, or simple greeting, event-staffing agencies can be useful. For a memorable attraction, consider an experienced live performer who understands booth traffic and handoff.
Places to look
Ask other exhibitors and show organizers for referrals. Search established event-staffing agencies, professional networks, and performers' own portfolios. Review footage from real events, not only studio clips. A busy trade show floor tests timing, energy, and judgment differently from a promotional video.
Interview for the floor
Ask what the person will do when someone wants a photo but is not a buyer. Ask how they will introduce a qualified attendee to your sales team. Confirm show hours, breaks, travel, and whether the person has represented competing brands at that event.
The platform is only a source of candidates. A clear role, a specific handoff, and evidence of live experience matter more than the listing itself.
